Lobby Hero Audition Information

LOBBY HERO by Kenneth Lonergan, directed by George Popovich: Feb. 10-13 & 17-20, 2022

Audition Dates:  Sun & Mon, Dec 5 & Dec 6, 2021, at 7 pm.

Covid Protocol:
All auditioner staff, auditionees, and other volunteers must be fully vaccinated to participate in Riverwalk Theatre activities and show proof of vaccination for building entry. Masks required at all times in the building other than when actively performing.

Cast of Characters:
DAWN (Female, 20s) Caucasian. A rookie cop. She is tough, vulnerable, guarded, and smart.
JEFF (Male, late 20s) Caucasian. A uniformed security guard. He is talkative and curious. He is somehow both anxious and relaxed, tranquil and uncomfortable.
WILLIAM (Male, lake 20s-30s) African American. He is serious, responsible intense, and ambitious.
BILL (Male, 30s). Caucasian. A policeman. He is charming, arrogant, and pathological. He is aggressive and performative both with his warmth and his rage.

Audition Procedures:
Auditions will be held at Riverwalk Theatre, 228 Museum Drive, Lansing, MI 48933. Audition Dates are Sun & Mon Dec 5 & Dec 6, 2021, at 7 pm. Perusal scripts are available at the Riverwalk Theatre Office Tuesday-Friday, 10am-5:30pm or contact us at: RWT@Riverwalktheatre.com. Dialects:
We want to go for VERY LIGHT NYC accents for Bill and Dawn.
IF YOU ARE READING FOR BILL OR DAWN, PLEASE COME PREPARED WITH AN ACCENT. DOESN”T MATTER IF IT’S GOOD OR NOT. YOU WILL HAVE A DEFINITE ADVANTAGE OF BEING CAST IF YOU AT LEAST ATTEMPT AN ACCENT.
